FAQ
What is your approach on the wedding day?
As a wedding photographer, my approach revolves around building genuine connections with my couples and their families. I believe that every love story is unique, and my goal is to create a comfortable space where you can truly be yourselves. I focus on documenting heartfelt moments as they unfold, capturing the raw emotion and authenticity of your special day.
I prefer to take an observational approach, allowing the day to flow naturally. This way, I can capture those candid, fleeting moments that tell your story in the most beautiful way. While I excel in blending into the background, I also provide gentle guidance when needed, helping you navigate moments that might feel overwhelming or chaotic. My aim is to ensure that you feel at ease.
Ultimately, my photography is about you—your love, your family, and the memories you create together. I am here to document not only the big moments but also the small, intimate details that make your day truly special.
HOW CAN WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
To reserve your wedding date, I’ll need a completed contract and a 20% non-refundable retainer booking fee.
As soon as I have received your signed contract and the deposit, your desired date will be firmly reserved for you.
Do we need a second shooter?
I recommend that you also book a second photographer if 120+ guests are attending your wedding day. This is the best way to be able to capture everything if you don’t want to miss out on any candid moments or special details.
When so many guests are accompanying you at a wedding party, it becomes easy to capture all the beautiful moments with the help of a professional second photographer. For example, when we are off capturing stunning bridal portraits, the second photographer can take candid pictures of your guests.
Can we customize our collection/investment ?
Absolutely! I collaborate with each couple to create a personalized wedding collection that is built around your needs. Let me know what adds on you would like and we can incorporate this to your contract.
Are you available for travel? And can you legally work in another country?
I travel all over Europe for my weddings.
Thanks to my dual citizenship I can legally work in UK and any EU country.
What are your travel costs?
All travel costs and expenses are included in my packages.
How long will it take you to deliver our photos?
My turnaround time for delivering photos is 4 weeks during low season (October- April) and 6 weeks in peak season (May-September).
Do you have insurance?
Indeed. Both equipment and liability coverage.
What is the next step?
It's time to schedule a meeting (personal or video call).
When you click on enquire, you will receive an email with a calendar link for a consultation call.
On the call you can share with me your aesthetical expectations, requirements, ideas, dreams and wishes. If there are any further queries, this is the forum to discuss.
After the meeting/call, I will send you a contract. Should you wish to proceed, you will be required to sign the contract and pay a retainer fee of 20%.
Full payment of the remaining amount is to be paid 8 weeks before the wedding. The final invoice after the wedding day includes the additional hours, extra coverage, and add-ons if you decided to add anything last minute.
Why do you shoot film?
Film gives an image a soul. There is something in the nature of film that makes the world it captures looks like a nostalgic dream. The process of shooting film is like creating art, capturing how I truly see the light. It causes me to be more intentional and aware of the moment I’m in.
Film is genuine, timeless and has so much character in those subtle grain. It’s simple, straightforward and bare.
I love film because of the nostalgic palette, the old-fashioned connection to the physical - the forgiving imperfection.
My passion for film photography has brought such joy and depth to my work. For me, film is the perfect touch to elevate my clients’ experiences, adding a layer of uniqueness to every shoot. Shooting film has not only challenged and expanded my creative skills but has also transformed my clients’ galleries with images that feel natural, raw, and authentic—qualities that digital simply can not replicate.
Will my whole wedding be shot on film?
In a short answer, no. Although film is wonderful and beautiful, it is also expensive and requires a lot of natural light. I use film for controlled environment pictures like details (shoes, flowers, dress, jewelry, etc) and portraits. I tend to shoot all bride and groom portraits on film as well as bridal party images and shoot some digital images as back up.
Are there different kinds of film, and what do you use?
There are different kinds of films. I mainly shoot Kodak Portra 400 because I like the versatility of the film, colour rendering and the skin tones.
Occasionally I will use different speed film like 100 or 200, depends on lighting situation.
Do you develop it yourself?
As much as I would love to say I have always shot film and know how to develop film in a dark room, I do not develop it myself.
I send my film to the awesome people at the film lab, where they use scanners to scan my film. Once it is scanned, I get an email where I download them as JPEGs. I can then edit these film scans (very minimally though) to my liking. It is such an intriguing and exciting process and another reason why I love shooting film. It is like Christmas morning every time I receive the download email!
Isn’t it expensive?
Yes, and no. I have built the cost for film into my wedding packages so the cost of buying film, shooting film, mailing it and getting it scanned is all covered. But to me, it is worth it. It made me fall in love with photography all over again and there is no price tag for that.
Will you still use a digital camera?
Yes - I will use a digital camera for your ceremony, family photos, some portraits and your reception. This makes me what is called a hybrid photographer.
Your wedding gallery will be 70% digital and 30% film.
Aren’t you worried about old film cameras breaking down?
I always shoot film and digital together and I always have back ups close to hand.
My film cameras work perfectly and are checked regularly and I carry a back up camera for each of the main film and digital cameras.
What film camera do you use?
I use 35mm film which is a classic choice that’s versatile, slightly grainy, and has a nostalgic look, perfect for candid, documentary and editorial style shots.
My main film camera is Contax g1, Nikon f100 and few Olympus mju II with different lenses.
Throughout the wedding day, I switch between cameras based on lighting, venue and the mood I want to achieve. Each camera has a unique way of capturing light and atmosphere, making every shot feel truly one-of-a-kind.
